I recently took a class called History of the English Language or HEL as we called it. I really enjoyed it. We spent some time on the history of names. Like Smith came from someone who was a smith of a craft like blacksmith or shoesmith. It makes one wonder where the name, I kid you not, Glasscock came from.

Oh, I had a person named Ima Hogg once.
