*Because* this person has a cold. I'm no biologist, but I do have a brother to whom this happens every time he gets a cold. His sinuses back up, and put pressure on some connecting nerve to jaw and teeth. He's had cold-related toothaches bad enough he's gone to emerg. for relief.
