I think one is actually Taiwan, although I'm not entirely sure.

Well, "paganism" basically means any of the religions that Christians disapprove of. So it's not "a" religion, no.

I think it had more to do with the US presence in Saudi Arabia, close to Mecca and Medina. According to what I can peice together from bin Laden's press releases, anyway.
