Oh man, tell me about it! Going home for Thanksgiving was (in some ways) the most painful thing EVAR. I saw tons of people who I was acquaintances with, but had't seen in months and therefore had to talk to.

"Hi!"
"Oh, hi!"
"How are you? How's college?"
"Oh, awesome, I love it! How about you?"
"It's great! How are your classes? What else are you doing?"
"Oh they're good... I'm keeping myself really busy. I'm directing a play!"
"Oh, congratulations!"
"Um, so how about you?"
"Classes are good..."
*awkward pause*
"Um, so I guess I'll see you around."
"Yeah... have a good time at college! It was great seeing you!"
"Yeah, you too! Bye!"

The only thing more annoying than small talk is the SAME small talk 50 times.
