It reminds me of those silly new kids' shoes with the wheels that flip out of the soles for roller-blading. Yeah, that won't break in the first day? Please!

Isn't it amazing how there is a thriving market, full of vitality, for things that have absolutely no use whatsoever? The standard response here is "The Internet, yeah," but I'll gloss over that for now to concentrate on the mini-scooter craze. Scooters. Fine. Tiny scooters that are capable of slicing your finger off when you fold them up, are so heavy that they aren't actually portable, and go no faster than, say, a bike or roller-skates? What is the point? The point about Heelys (I think that's what they are) is also very true. The only reason for these (or the Hoverboard, the Solo Trek helicopter, and any other ludicrously expensive piece of equipment you care to mention) is that a. you'll look cool for about five minutes and b. the makers will be raking in the dough, laughing all the way to the bank. What a pointless world we live in. Roll on the revolution.
