I was OK with the original Winnie-the-Pooh, although I didn't really understand it much. It was when Disney (*spits on floor*) took what was originally a nice character, schmaltzed it up beyond belief, diced up the personality and atmosphere beyond all recognition and gave it some completely made-up and pointless catchphrases (where was I? oh, yes) that I began to hate it.
In fact, I haven't seen any film or TV programme, or even bought any merchandise, or EVEN asked my parents for any merchandise, since this happened.
(Look, I was about 6 when the changes occurred. I wouldn't want the films, TV programmes or merchandise NOW, of course, even if it was decent...)
AND WHILE I'M RANTING...
I think I might as well complain a bit about TV serials. When films are a success, they should stop there. Or maybe go to one sequel. They should NOT expand into a huge franchise with tacky merchandise (particularly free at McDonalds) and a TV serial with none of the same voices or even characters. Aladdin is a case in point here. The original movie was quite good, but then it went downhill rapidly into (how many?) sequels, and (you guessed it) at least one TV series which didn't even feature Robin Williams as the genie!
