No, no, no. It was the sea-witch that had to put
a spell on the prince to make him love her
instead of the mermaid. He fell in love with the
mermaid because she saved him from
drowning.

And in the "real" version of the story, I seem to
recall, she didn't just die, but got turned into
sea-foam or something weird like that. Or
maybe it was her dying tears that turned into
sea-foam. I don't know. I think both versions of
the Little Mermaid are silly. I'd rather watch
_Splash!_ any day.
