That's what they did.
But have you seen it? It's an excellent movie, despite not being the most faithful adaptation of its source material in the history of... adapting source material. The music is, by and large, not as insidious and annoying as in most Disney cartoons, for one thing, and it;s not quite as "young." Frollo is *easily* the best Disney villain in a long time, as he actually has depth to his character.
