I had a friend in high school whose family did
the same thing, only with the name
Gene/Jean. It came from his dad's side of the
family, and everyone in his family except his
mom had the same middle name. He, his
dad, and his little brother had the middle
name "Gene," and his sister's middle name
was "Jean." He and his wife just had their first
child, a boy, a few months ago, and they
named him Timothy Gene. Presumably if they
ever have a girl, her middle name will be
"Jean."
