I like my middle name. I didn't used to, but it grew on me. It's a pretty popular name in my family, but only in the last three to four generations. It was my grandfather's first name, my dad's middle name, my middle name, and my cousin's first name. And now it's my son's middle name too.

My middle name is also cool in that if I leave off my surname, I have the same name as a famous historical preacher and hymnwriter. Unfortunately, I also share the name with a rather unsavory character. I bet you can figure out who I'm talking about. :oP
