No. I might feel unpatriotic/jaded/like a rat because I don't take more of my time and actually do something worthwhile for any cause I believe in, but I refuse to let myself feel guilty for not taking "just three minutes" to do something that most likely will have no effect at all.

Actually, I think it's much worse to take those three minutes to forward the petition and afterwards feel like you've made a difference. It's too easy. Too convenient. Heck, you don't even have to lift your fingers from the computer keyboard to take action! Yeah, right.

If you want to make a difference: Get off your butt, go out there, go see the people (or places or species or whatever) in trouble and HELP them!
