A very useless item(Game of Ages)

I have that stupid free trial sword and nothing I do helps. I have all the silver coins in the town(I think)and I have found nothing but a key on that island. I also can't go any where because the character is too scared to go in the woods.If you'd help me, I'd be very grateful.
