Pants/jeans -- multiple days is okay. Shirts, depends... Socks, well, that also depends.

For instance, work/dress up socks -- one day only. You change into comfy socks after you get home from work and only wear them for about two, maybe four hours. In that case, it is okay to wear them again the next day. Now, if you're in the comfy socks, it's August, you live in Texas, and you decide to go out biking... burn them afterwards.
