Now that I'm safely a couple months into the school year, I'm going to treat (or subject, whichever you prefer) to the tale of my life. Here is a typical weekly schedule of Lynette, along with comments and craziness.

Sunday.

9:15 - church. I've been going to the Community Bible Church, which is like a 5 minute drive away. It has a pretty modern praisish worship style, and I really enjoy it. The preaching is pretty good, too - not the best, but in a town with all of 3 churches, you take what you can get.

11:30ish - brunch. All of the Williams Christian Fellowship, from whatever church they go to, meets for brunch, and we have a grand old time.

1:00-5:00 - play rehearsal. I'm currently directing The Importance of Being Earnest, which is large amounts of time but also VERY large amounts of fun! The show goes up December 6,7,and 8... so it's coming up all too quickly, but hey, that's what theater's all about!

7:00-8:00 - handbells. I've been playing in the Williams Handbell choir. Not as good as my high school choir, but lots of fun anyway. We're currently wokring on a bunch of christmas carols, we're playing in the Lessons and Carols service on December 9.

10:00 - SNACKS. My entry (hmm, maybe I should explain that)... okay, the williams system of First-Year housing - you live in entries, basically areas of dorms with other freshmen (along with two Junior Advisors) who you do stuff with and such.... basically the idea is that they're your "family" for the year. Anyway, on sunday nights we meet and talk and have food and discuss what's going on that week.

Monday

8:45-10:45 - Work Study. I work in the cataloging department of the library, basically getting books ready to go out... I also mend old books. It's ntot he hardest of work, but for some reason I enjoy it.

11:00-11:55 - Chemistry. I'm taking Forensic Chem, so basically we're learning basic chem and learning how to use it to solve crimes. Muahaha. Not my favorite class, but not bad, either, as science goes.

1:10-2:25 - Sociology. This is an intro to Sociology class. I REALLY enjoy it. I have a pretty solid B in it, which is a new experience for me, having a B in a class I'm really enjoying and trying hard in... but I really enjoy it anyway. We're looking at sociological perspectives on lotsa different issues and such.

4:00-6:00 - Play Rehearsal.

Tuesday

8:30-9:45 - English. This is a poetry class... we read lots of poetry, and talk about it, basically. Much fun. I enjoy it, in any case.

9:55-11:10 - Theater. Intro to Theater Course... we read plays, and then the professor talks about them, mostly, but I really enjoy this class, too.

1:00-5:00 - Chemistry lab. Towards the beginning of the year, the prof staged crime scenes, which we got evidence from. Since then, in lab, we've been analyzing the evidence, plus more evidence that is "submitted" to us, in groups of 3 or 4 to each crime. We're supposed to solve it by the end of the year!

7:00-9:00 - concert Choir. This is one of my FAVORITE things. I hadn't really sung in a choir since 9th grade, and that was a jr. high school choir, and therefore nothing really to speak of. This is lots of fun and also a huge challenge, but I'm learning a LOT about music through it, and we're singing awesome music!!

9:30-11:30 - FYBS. First Year bible Study. Pretty much selfexplanatory - but another highlight of my week. I get to see many of my good friends, sing, and talk about God. It don't get much better than that.

Wednesday.

8:45-10:45 - Work Study.

11:00-11:55 - chemistry

1:10-3:50 - Theater lab. In this, we're split into smaller groups, in which we do acting-type exercises based on the play we're reading that week. Much fun.

4:00-6:00 - Play Rehearsal.

Thursday

8:30-9:45 - English

9:55-11:10 - Theater

12-1 - Work Study

1:10-2:25 - sociology

4-6 - Play Rehearsal

7-9 - concert Choir

Friday... I get to sleep in!!

11:00-11:55 - Chemistry

12:50-2:50 - work Study

3:00-5:00 - play rehearsal

6:30-8:00 - Large Group. The christian fellowship big meeting every week. WE sing, and there's a speaker who talks about a topic. A good time of learning and fellowship.

Saturday

ummm.... nothing...

"But Lynette," you say, "There are plenty of empty spaces in there! What do you do in that time?"

Aha! I shall tell you.

Lynette's Free Time Activities

1) Work. There's a great deal of that, unfortunately. I usually eventually get most of it done...

2) Friends! I have a lot of those, and I love them all dearly. My closest friend on campus is Alice, who is in handbells and concert choir with me, and is in my play, so we spend large amounts of time together just by default. apart from that, we have thursday night movies (well, we've only had that once, but it promises to become weekly), friday morning breakfast, and lots of other random time together, whenever we happen to feel like it. For example, last night I "stopped by" her room at 4:30 after rehearsal, and ended up ordering chinese food with her, and just going to bells at 7 from her room.

Other assorted friends - Paul. Dan. Joyia. Carolyn. Marcos. Emily. Karen. charlotte. Gavin. (um, I think that covers the people I spend the most time with. There are, of course, lots of others whom I like and see regularly).

3) In Mission. Mission Park is the dorm in which my brother lives, so I'm often to be found down there, visiting him and other assorted sophomores.... usually I'm with Brent, Steve, Jim, or Emily.

4) Online. I take whatever time I can to talk to friends from home online... I also spend time on rinkworks whenever I can, typing up things like this.

5) Talking to my family. I call them all too frequently, I think.

6) at parties. Okay, not really that often. But it does happen from time to time. It's a lot more frequent if you include "random gettogethers with friends, whether they're drinking or not" under "parties"

7) Doing something else in the very small amount of time I have left

8) Oh yeah.... eating, and sleeping, although from the looks of things I'm doing too much of the former and too little of the latter.

In any case, I need to skedaddle.... play rehearsal in 10 minutes! Just thought I'd give a Brief Account of My Life.

Lyn"now I'll just start telling amusing anecdotes. Or not."
