One of the funniest books I've read in a long while.

For once, I'm not reading through six books at a time...

Right now: Kim Stanley Robinson's Mars trilogy. Hard, hard SF just the way I like it. Red Mars, Green Mars, and Blue Mars are about the colonization and terraformation of Mars. A multi-generational epic. Wonderful, wonderful stuff. I'm over a third of a way through Blue Mars.

Oh yes, those marvelous Brother Cadfael mysteries. If you enjoy those, you'll enjoy Sharon Kay Penman's When Christ and His Saints Slept -- a historical fiction novel set during the war between King Stephen and Empress Maud. And if you enjoy that, I'd suggest all of her other books.
