Breaking news: Ellmyruh survived New Orleans.

I don't have time or energy to post much about New Orleans, but it was a ton of fun, and I'm tired. I believe the earliest I went to bed during the whole trip was 3 a.m., and last night it was around 5 a.m.

Our flight got into Sacramento at 11:30 tonight, and my ride (Howard with the Lexus) was very late in picking us up. We dropped off one person, then three of us just had to watch some of the video of the trip. One of the guys brought a video camera, and he has this knack for picturing things in his head and then actually capturing them on film or photo. So we watched part of the video, and laughed until we were just too tired, so we went home.

And here I am, at 4 a.m., posting this message in the forum. I've got a dozen e-mails waiting for me, 400 forum posts to read, probably 40-50 e-mails waiting for me at work and I haven't even gotten to memos yet.

I'm not sure how to report on the trip, so I'll just mention a few things that stand out in my memory, and I'll answer the questions/comments posted in the forum. I did keep a journal while I was there, but some of it is only in note form, and more of it is only in my head. For now, it's 27 pages, and there is no estimate of when I will begin to think about typing it all up.

Things from the trip that stand out, in no particular order and certainly not conclusive: Airport security. The French Quarter and Bourbon Street. Wandering around at 1 a.m., looking for the Hyatt. The Thursday keynote speaker and the Anonymous Sources session leader. Hurricanes. Calamari. Po-boys. The swamp tour. Live alligators. Fried alligator. Alligator meatballs. Josh and Andy dancing to N'Sync music and attracting a crowd. Prank calls. Pat O'Brien's. Beads. Limo ride....
