If I have contacts in, I'll leave them in for a shower. It's easier to clean yourself if you can see what you're doing. I wear them swimming, too. Sometimes the water causes them to slide up in my eye and it can be hard to find them again, but it's worth it to be able to SEE what's going on.

I take them out at night, though. It'd be nice to be able to see my alarm clock in the morning, but I learned my lesson after having to make an emergency trip to the eye doctor. No more leaving them in during the night for me. Besides, they feel kind of icky after I've slept in them.
