My new motherboard came with onboard LAN, and the MAC Address was printed on a sticker the board next to the port. It was also on a sticker in the manual for the motherboard.
I don't know how OEM computer makers do it, but I would check the documentation that came with the computer. Either that, or cough up a couple bucks for another NIC.
