That's certainly what it started out to be, but it isn't anymore. My favorite "feminism" quote, from I don't remember who: "I supported feminism, back when it meant equal rights."

Feminism RARELY means that anymore but it's often claimed to mean that in an effort to appeal to potential supporters.
