/me can very reasonably say that he's irritated by cigarette smoke. He's allergic to it, after all.

Seriously, though, I really don't have anything against smokers; it's just that (a) I don't want them smoking around *me*, of course, and (b) I don't understand why someone would purposefully choose to start doing something that's shown to be so chronically harmful in the end, realizing full well how addictive it is. But hey, to each his own...
