What's good for the sake of the country is that the 18-21 year old demographic has one of the lowest voter turn-outs.
No bleeding kidding. I was in fifth grade during the Gulf War, and you know what we spent quite a lot of class time doing? Singing war-protest songs. Seriously. They took what could have been a prime opportunity to learn about international politics, world history, economics, and making decisions when there is no clear "perfect" choice, and turned it into a lecture on why "war is bad." And, of course, being children, we bought it. I agree with you that it's a good thing children don't get to vote - they're simply incapable of understanding what's going on and forming intelligent opinions; rather, they just latch on to whatever ideas are fed to them.
I just wish there were fewer adults who did the same. ;-}
