I really, really shouln't reply to this, but I'm going to clear some things up before anyone else jumps on the bandwagon: the bombing of Afghanistan was not an attempt to stop Osama bin Laden or terrorists. It was a method of punishing the Taliban for its continued support of said terrorists.
The goal of the bombings was to make it clear to OTHER states that sponsor (or would consider sponsoring) terrorists that there will be a price to pay. You can't negotiate with terrorists, as a rule, but most political leaders care a bit more about their own well-being.
If all we were doing was bombing Afghanistan, I'd be upset. But it's just one front of a multi-front "war" that also includes using intelligence, freezing assets and beefing up domestic security.
I guess if that doesn't work maybe we can start giving the terrorsts flowers with little notes like "Please don't hurt us anymore! -Love, The U.S.A." But I see that as a last resort.
