More Fun with Babelfish

We all know that the Systran software used in AltaVista's Babelfish translator has its share of bugs. Here's one that I just stumbled across today:
"Vampire" translated into German and back is, at least according to Babelfish, "IrishIrish Irish".
Now that's at least partly understandable as "Ire" is German for "Irish". But why "vamp" causes the word to repeat three times, only Systran's programmers know...
