There was an article in the local papers a couple of years ago, about a guy living on a main road in a residential area, who got sick of people speeding up his street.
He started to dress in dark clothes, painted a hair dryer black, and took to standing on the side of the road pointing his hair dryer at passing traffic. Apparently someone was speeding, saw him and got stressed out, especially as they drove past and realised that it wasn't real, and they then pulled over and started a huge fight.
