Ah, reminds me of an incident I ran into lately. I used to be a moderator at a large, vibrant, active forum. Then, because of circumstances, I left that forum and eventually the entire community.

Well, I found my way back a few days ago, and I was shocked... the character of the place COULD NOT have changed more. And the people... they changed... It used to be a semi-intelligent place. Now it's full of crude semi-obscene joking, shallow conversation, and sniping. And many of the same people I knew and cherished are still there, transformed just as much... *sigh*

Change, and the world changes with you - but sometimes, it's for the worse.
