> Tomorrow (Thursday), I take my first Driver's Training lesson. That's where you actually get behind the wheel of the car and drive! I'm pretty nervous, because I've driven only down our driveway, and I'm not very good at even *that*. This is going to be in the CITY, and out where I live in the country, four cars is a lot of traffic! Any tips for a nervous teenager? I really don't want to kill the instructor and wreck the car, but above that, I'm not sure how I'm going to do. Does anyone have a horse I can borrow? :)

Seeing that about a dozen people have already offered advice, I'll just suggest not worrying about it too much. You need to be relaxed. The one who will be nervous is your instructor. I am a former driver ed insturctor, an although that was 25 years ago, I am still shakey and more than a little crazy. I really feel for the young people who are learning to drive in cities. Traffic is getting worse every year. Try to practice in the country as much as possible. And don't hurry.
