Just to extend Sosi's reply, UAE has severed all diplomatic and economic links with the Taliban, The Saudi diplomats to Britain and America have given very strongly worded opinions on the Taliban government, but not made any formal censure against them, and Pakistan has opened up it's military bases to be used for military action against the Taliban. It's fair to say that they have no friends left now.

> Predictably, the treaty wasn't worth the paper it wasn't printed on. Poland was invaded, war declared on Britain, and Chamberlain resigned in disgrace.

War was declaired *by* Britain. And it's worth noting that the treaty merely said that we wouldn't join a war against Germany *so long as they only annexed the Sudetenlandt* (The German / Czech border). It was widely belived at the time that Hitler had little interest in invading eslewhere and that he threat of retribution from Britain would ensure that he limited his aggression.

We were wrong, but the current situation is slightly different.

Anyone here have the experience of arguing with a madman? Believe me, you can't win.
