I agree wholeheartedly with everything
Ellmyruh stated. I've expressed my views on
this in chat before to some of the younger
RinkyDinks, knowing even as I did so that it
was probalby pointless.

It's only been in the past three or four years
that I've come to espouse the viewpoint that
teens are really too young for relationships.
When I was in high school, I wanted to have a
girlfriend just like all the other guys.
Fortunately for me, I was a wallflower who had
too much shoe leather in his mouth to ever get
up the guts it took to ask a girl out.

I only know one married couple now who were
high school sweethearts and are still married.
And they almost got divorced just a few years
after their wedding; if they hadn't gotten some
good Biblical counseling at our church, they'd
probably be divorced by now.

I know my kids will probably think I'm mean
and controlling and stupid, but I don't plan to
let them date until they're out of high school.
Call me old-fashioned. I like it.
