I heard a radio talk show host the other day commenting that if you're willing to go against the current trend (fear of travelling), there are many great deals to be made. Most hotels in the country are only running at 30% occupancy right now, and they are dramatically reducing rates trying to lure people in. You can "live like a king on a pauper's purse," if this guy was telling the truth.
