As someone I know often says, "we all carry around our own back of rocks." I don't know about you, but I think that if I knew that by stepping outside my door I'd be exposing all my faults and foibles to the world in intimate detail, I'd be inclined to stay indoors.

I think it would be the opposite. We'd all already know all of our faults, so what would be the reasoning behind pointing them out? I think that if it had been like this since the beginning of time, and we had grown up with it, we'd be a much more open people.
