In fact, I read in a newspaper just this morning that Bin Laden is despised in most muslim countries because of his reactionary stance. It reminds me of a novel I once read, where a secret agent was labelled incompetent because he couldn't distingiush between the plethora of varieties of communists. To him it was obvious that all "commies" were united against "The Capitalist Satan".
