I understand.

Most of you know that I used to work in a library. One of my co-workers there was a really nice young Muslim woman who has previously experienced hostility because she dresses and believes differently from many of us. I fear for her now, especially since she works in a public building, and I fear for my friend of Iranian descent.

I have prayed many times today that the United State will not become a nation of xenophobia and hate.
