In a Zogby (polling company) article a few months
back, Mr. Zogby claimed that Americans believe
everything when it comes to religion. For example, a
majority agreed with the statement "Jesus is the only
way to heaven," and yet another majority agreed with
the statement "There are many paths to heaven."
There is a lot of relativism in our culture, so I wouldn't
be surprised if we are a gullible lot. However, I
haven't read anything about similar polling
in other countries. It may be the same everywhere.
