Hot diggety-dog ziggety-boom...

OK, here's the deal.
Every week, my family buys a twelve-pack of bread finger rolls from Sainsbury's (my local supermarket), which costs exactly 99p.
This week, they didn't have any twelve-packs of finger rolls, but they did have six-packs of hot-dog rolls.
Hot-dog rolls are exactly the same as finger rolls, except that they have a slit down the middle of them so that you don't have to spend time tediously cutting them in two with a knife yourself when you get home. Usually they come in packs of four, but this was a "special offer" so they came in packs of six instead.
This is what annoyed me - the packs cost 69p each. That's £1.38 GBP in total, or 39p more than the usual twelve pack. All that for a slit down the middle.
The scary thing is, I know that there are some people who would happily buy three packs of four hot-dog rolls (total price £2.07 GBP) instead of a 99p pack of twelve because they didn't want to spend five minutes splitting them in two.
