Having read everyone elses comments up until now, I'm confused. I voted "2" in the pole, before it was removed, on the grounds that "a few" can be as little as 2, depending on context. If someone says "I have a few [something]", I expect it to be more than 1 and less than 100 (even grains of sand), and I allow for the possibility that the person hasn't counted. The reason I'm confused is that everyone seems to turn the question around, _assume_ that they know how many objects they are dealing with, and then decide whether they will refer to it as "a few". Do you see what I mean?
