well, after having known each other for about six months through RinkChat, and having been working about a mile apart, Beasty and myself finally met up this evening. We settled on a pub somewhere inbetween us, and met up after work.

Anyway, I turn up there with my compulsive earlyness, and wait for Beasty. I see someone come in who looks like Beasty but isn't wearing glasses (which throws me off for a moment), and he doesn't seem to recognise me (even though I'm wearing one of my usually distinctive ties), but we find each other eventually.

We drink beer and we have a conversation that consists, for the most part, of geek talk. He's a very easy person to talk to RL, but then, we've spent a lot of time chatting while the rest of you sluggards are still fast asleep, so we already knew each other pretty well.

Anyway. I had bought a camera (because I'm going on holiday soon, and I might as well get the evidence), wich I give to one of the serving wenches (sorry - barmaids) to take our photo. I tell her that it's a legal thing. We need to prove an alibi, something like that.

Then we split up, because Beasty has a HOT DATE that he's probably on right now, as I type this.

Anyway, a photo is coming, but I imagine you're going to have to wait until I come back from my holiday before I get it developed. So that's about all I have to say. No doubt Beasty will post here soon to say it's all a tissue of lies, but hey.
