Gah! That's a horrible thing to say. Why foriegners all have such a problem with British food? OK, with some things, like black pudding or jellied eels, say, I can understand people not wanting to try it in the first place, but overall (in my usual, biased way) British food the the best anywhere.

Well, it's not exactly clockwork, but either June and July, or July and August are good bets. So far this summer, it's not rained seriously for a month or so, I think.
