I think car names come from ad writers who just think up something that sounds good, even if it means nothing.
Exactly. If it sounds cool (or expensive or sporty, or family, or whatever) people will buy it.
I'm still waiting for the introduction of the Howard Super 8 DeLuxe 220 GTF Innercooler ISpy 007 Special Hollywood 32 Valve Sport Coupe.
I've already got one. In candy apple red, of course. Nice car, but terrible gas mileage. (But that's because I got the 'Sport' model, not the 'Sedan')
