I recently read somewhere about an "ugliest sofa" contest. It's sponsered by a slip cover company. The link below explains the contest, and has a link to a gallery with all the previous winners. Maybe you can find a contest for your house, maybe.

On another note, my mother once lived in a house decorated by a man who could not see colour at all. Think pink cabinets, orange plaid couch, red carpet, and don't forget the brown walls. I think that the man decorated it like that because he liked how the patterns looked together. I don't know about an explanation for brown/yellow linoleum, though. . .
