Hail Thee,

Looks like London is very popular this time'a year :) In a different posting I just wrote a bit about my own visit to London only a couple of days ago.

Here's some personal (biassed (of course)) advice for a tourist with only limited time: avoid anything which will keep you accupied for more than a few hours. There is sooo much to see in London that you easily run the risk of having to miss important sights !

> 3) The British Museum.

Hmmm, the museum most highly recommended to us was the science musuem. But as we were also told that it would take us a whole day to "see it all" we decided not to go (we ahd only 4 days in London).

Yes, that was a great experience ! Horribly expensive (12 pounds) but well worth seeing. I've been told that they show the original crown jewels in the towers, not duplicates.

Here's another tip from me:

5) Covent Garden on the weekend. Its like a huge street carnival with added market atmosphere.

6) Hamleys (I hope I spelled this right) on Regent Street, the largest toy store I've ever seen. They got a Bear Factory on level 1 ! They hand-craft a Teddy Bear especially for you, with voice, heart, birth certificate and all (ours is called "Fluffy" :-)
