Say Book A is 50% angst and has a metaphysical volume of 8 psychological liters, and Book B is 100% angst and has a metaphysical volume of 3 psychological liters. This means that Book A has 4 metaphysical liters of angst, while Book B has only 3.

You also need to factor in the differences of angst meta-density. Book A might have a larger angst meta-volume, but a lower angst/psyL constant. If the latter is significantly lower for Book A (in this case less than 75% that of Book B), it would in fact have a smaller amount of angst (measured in pseudo-moles, naturally).
