This reminds me of a joke. This is the tourist-in-France version of "There's a fly in my soup!" The tourist calls over the waiter and, in indignant semi-remembered high school French, attempts to complain about "le mouche". The waiter sneers, "Non, monsieur, LA mouche." The tourist looks at the waiter and says, "Wow, you must have AMAZINGLY good eyesight."
