Then there are 'grades,' used on roads and probably elsewhere. For example, occasionally one sees signs warning of "6% grade next 10 miles" or something similar. What is grade?

And that calculator button made trig class a dream. Converting among degrees, gradients, and radians and among decimals, fractions, and minutes/seconds never required more than half a second or so.
