A freind of mine says that anyone who watches the movie comes out with a black spot on their soul.

The premise behind Man Bites Dog is this: A group of people decide to make a documentary about a serial killer, so they hook up with the murderer and follow him around as he kills various people.

There is one shining moment in the movie when it looks like it's going to bust open and be a completely free-for-all farce (the scene where the killer and his documentary crew encounter another serial killer and his documentary crew). However, the rest of the movie doesn't live up to this moment.

If it were made today, in the age of "reality television" shows, it would have been wonderful biting satire. Taken on its own, one feels like showering for days after watching.
