Muscle building? At *my* age!

Strange things happen. That sprained knee that took over my life for a couple of weeks, has yielded one strange result. I have developed some muscle in my right arm. The left is still flabby and weak, but my right arm that used a cane all that time has firmed up noticably. Every time I put that right foot down, I used that arm to take as much weight as possible off knee. So it was flex, relax, flex, relax all day, every day. Steps were a real workout and the Myrtle Beach sand was even worse. I never knew how far the cane was going to sink.
Yesterday and today have, so far, been cane free if not pain free, and I'm sure the muscles in that arm are already on there way back to normal flab. The funny thing is that the bicep muscle didn't get the work out that the others did. It was mostly the back of my upper arm and all of my forearm, but not the front muscle in my upper arm. That's the show-off muscle.
Anyway, I am pleased to learn that exercise can still do some good. I don't expect to put that information to any use, but it's nice to know.
