Well, I mentioned this in Sam's thread about his mother's problems. My father's doctor told him he almost certainly had liver cancer.

The full test results are back, and he has pancreatic cancer which has spread to his liver. It's inoperable, and he begins chemo soon.

My mother had ovarian cancer about fifteen years ago, and my sister had cervical cancer ten years ago, and they are both completly recovered now. However, pancreatic cancer has a much lower survival rate, and is more dangerous.

But this type of cancer typically shows up in much older people. My father is only forty-five, and is in excellant health, otherwise. Plus my grandfather is a millionaire so my family won't have to worry about Dad *and* the medical bills. (Grandpa has not been a real part of this family ever since he left my grandmother, and we are not rich by any means. But I'm thankful that's he's helping now, when it really matters.)

Anyway, we're all hoping for the best, and my best friend who is a Buddhist said she was sending a few "ohms" his way. :)
