I just want to let you know that I tasted root beer for the first time in my life. Moreover, I bought it my self, and only because I've heard of it through RinkForum. So I feel it is relevant to thank you for todays cultural experience.

I was kinda excited when I took my first sip. I had checked if it contained any alcohol, found that it didn't, so I had absolutely no idea what to expect. Imagine my surprise when the taste took me back to the bubble gum of my youth (which, besides tasting like root beer, was big, pink and able to fill my mouth with to pieces). Exclamation mark! While the can lasted, my taste buds got used to it, so it tasted less "special" at the end, which is why you might be interested in this. I imagine that if you've been accustomed to the taste over the years, it won't be the same experience.
