There's a thought: How about Nod? It's short, it's thoughtful, kinda mysterious - I bet it could come out of The Fantasy Name Generator. Of course, there are no monkeys in there, but that might not be a disadvantage (?).

That said, I feel the need to state that I think Don the Monkeyman is a great name. To put it briefly, it's cool. But of course, that's just my personal association. If you're uncomfortable with it, who am I to argue?
