On my trip to California, I was in several airports. I stated out at Knoxville, Tennessee's McGhee Tyson airport, then went through O'Hare in Chicago, John Wayne in Orange County, LAX, and then Oxnard. On the way home it was Oxnard and LAX again, then Dulles in Virgina and back to Knoxville. Y'know what? Knoxville was the only one with those wide HDTV monitors to show arrivals and departures. Is that progressive or what? Heck, I remember when they used a chalkboard to post the flights! I guess it's logical that the first widespread use of high definition monitors would be in a closed circuit application. It shouldn't be a surprise that small airports would get them before the big ones do. Can you imagine what it would cost to replace all those monitors in Chicago?!! Howard
