Absolutely. My decision has a lot to do with that. I'm almost 30 now, so if I don't do this now, I probably won't do it ever. I think it's better to spend a year of insecurity now, before there's a mortgage and three kids to worry about. I don't know what the future holds in that department, but I guess if it does happen, it'll have to happen in the next few years. So right now I'm going to do the risky things, when I'm the only person who'll suffer the consequences if it doesn't work.

Hmm. I wonder if this whole thing is only because of that "I can't be turning 30! I haven't ACHIEVED enough yet to be 30! AAAAAAAAAHHH!" paranoia? I never pay much attention to birthdays and I hadn't thought about this one yet, but isn't that traditionally what everybody's supposed to think when they hit a new decade?
